David De Gea signed a new contract with Manchester United after his move toReal Madrid failed at the deadline last summer. One year later, Los Blancos are reportedly still considering making a move for the Spanish goalkeeper, even though Keylor Navas has performed very well this season. The reason? Keylor will turn 30 years old next December while De Gea will turn 26.
If those reports are accurate, De Gea still wants to leave Manchester and Madrid feel like they owe that to the young goalkeeper after last summer's fiasco, but United could ask around €50 million for De Gea.
Apparently, and according to some reports, De Gea could have a clause on his contract that would force United to discuss the transfer with Madrid, but it'd be unreasonable for Los Blancos to spend that much on a goalkeeper just because his age. De Gea is very talented, but Keylor has proven to be at least equally talented, so Madrid should probably wait until Keylor's age really becomes a problem.
