Mohammed Hayatu is the alleged husband of the rescued chibok girl, Amina Alli and a member of Boko Haram sect. He reportedly confessed that it was the fear of starvation and ill health that made him to surrender to the members of Civilian joint task force. According to channels television reports, Hayatu is also known as Amir and he is one of the Boko Haram commanders. In his narration to the military forces, he explain that it is their bombardment that cut their food supply, and that if he had not surrendered, himself and his family members will have lost their lives to hunger. Amina was rescued by the CJTF on Tuesday after she was recognised by members of the vigilante group who spoke to her in her native dialect. At the time of her rescue, she already have a 4 month old baby with another pregnancy. However, her mother was full of tears after the protracted reunion with her daughter. Amina was yesterday received by President Muhammadu Buhari and his wife at the state house.
