Nigeria
international Alex Iwobi is rumoured to be wanted back in the English senior national
team, and the buzz gained ground when the Arsenal forward did not show up for Eagles’ training on Tuesday.
And general secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation,
Dr. Sanusi Muhammed dismissed the rumours insisting the forward is only
eligible to play for the country having made his debut in friendlies against
Cote d' Ivoire and Congo.
"You people (the sports media) should go and cross check your facts now. This same Alex Iwobi has played two matches already for the Super Eagles. So what else can stop him from playing now,” Muhammed told Goal.

morning training session by the team doctor Ibrahim Gyaran.
Meanwhile, media officer of the team Toyin Ibitoye
confirmed that the 19-year-old had diarrhoea but would train with Samson
Siasia’s men by 5pm (on Tuesday).
